Traineeship details
A work experience placement in an early years setting that will include:
- Providing a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times
- To work with other professionals in the setting for the benefit of children
- To understand and work to the setting’s policies and procedures
- To plan activities which ensure each child is working towards the early learning outcomes
Training to be provided
A traineeship offers you to opportunity to gain valuable work experience together with the tools to enter the job market. You can also achieve a Level 1 qualification to strengthen your CV and give you a basic understanding of the early years sector.
Our traineeship lasts for a minimum of six weeks and includes a blend of virtual workshops and independent study, followed by a high-quality work experience placement. You will be supported by an early year’s development coach throughout. Your training will include:

- Job searching skills
- Interview training
- A Level 1 qualification
- Functional Skills
- Essential Digital Skills
About traineeships
A traineeship is a course with work experience that gets you ready for work or an apprenticeship. It can last up to 12 months.
You can apply if you’re:
- eligible to work in England
- unemployed and have little or no work experience
- aged 16 to 24 and qualified below Level 4
You’ll get:
- a work experience placement
- help with English and maths (if you need it)
You won’t be paid, but you may be given expenses for things like travel and meals.
