Recommendations from the Task Force and Youth Advisory Group led by Andy Burnham has been released today.
The Young Person’s Guarantee (YPG) is a commitment to improving the lives and experiences of young people from across Greater Manchester (GM). It focuses not only on the impact that COVID-19 has had on the city-region, but also on the worries that young people told us they have for their future employment prospects.
This report is a summary of how people across Greater Manchester collaborated to respond – and how the legacy of the guarantee can be taken forward to continue to offer young people the best possible future, despite the challenges they have experienced, and will continue to face.

Our CEO, Laura-Jane who has supported the project, said
“It has been our pleasure to support the Mayor of Manchester’s vision for young people as part of the Young Person’s Guarantee. The commitment to supporting young people through the myriad of challenges caused by Covid was great to be part of.
Most importantly ensuring young people are central to the Guarantee is undoubtedly its biggest success.
I look forward to seeing this work continue and the opportunities it will bring to young people in Greater Manchester”
