If you’ve an interest in STEM subjects, and want to know how we serve our 8 million customers, each day and every day, why not attend our Severn Trent Summer Discovery Programme. ‘Discovery Programmes’ offer young people in school years 10, 11 and 12 the opportunity to find out more about the world of Severn Trent, whilst developing employability skills, in an informal environment.
Why Attend?
- Develop key employability skills – You’ll take part in workshops and activities to understand more about your own strengths, develop teamworking and problem solving skills
- Discover – You’ll visit our operational sites to learn more about the operational world in the water industry, and how we keep the water (and waste) flowing.
- Grow – Gain confidence in readiness for the challenges ahead, whether in further education or becoming ‘Work Ready’.
Sessions will include group challenges, and we’ll introduce you to technical learning, allowing you to see at first hand how we train our own people. This will include virtual reality simulations, and using our specially designed water network rigs.
