What you’ll be doing as part of this BT apprenticeship
Our Apprentice Software Developers get stuck in from day one to some of our most important voice related projects. With the transition to IP based solutions, it’s a game changer in how everyone interacts. We need you to help us build software solutions, to keep people connected now and in the future.
You’ll be able to use your skills to simplify how our customers stay in touch with each other. Don’t worry, we’ll teach you what you need to know to get started. You’ll work with a variety of different coding languages, like React.js and Reactive Native, as well as Node.js, Java, Go and Scala.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. We’ll teach you best practice tools and techniques, both on bare metal and in the cloud.
You might get to work on some projects that are critical to the UK – like the 999 emergency services solutions we provide. Or perhaps it might be a cloud-based contact centre solution for customers like Apple and PayPal. Also other application programming interface projects for customers, both internal and external, or working on mobile apps and portals.
As an apprentice, you’ll have the chance to be a part of a team building future services and helping to define how people receive these services.
You’ll be part of a professional software development team, planning, building and verifying software that could be used by millions of customers. You’ll learn human centred- design, as well as agile ways of working. You never know, you could have helped build the next big voice solution that becomes part of everyday life.
This job is available in the Technology part of our business.
