Apprentice Grants Assistant
The main purpose of this apprenticeship role is to assist in the administration of research grants across the Nuffield Department of Medicine, which has around 1,700 research projects in its portfolio. You will learn to provide support in a wide range of administration areas related to Research Grants Management and Finance. You will gain skills and experience both in the workplace, and through the completion of a course of study.

As part of your apprenticeship, you will be required to attend Abingdon or Witney College. During your apprenticeship, you will need to attend Abingdon OR Witney campus one day a week (term time only).

As part of this role, you will undertake an Apprenticeship with Abingdon and Witney College, where you will complete a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship.
For this apprenticeship, you will work at the Sociology department in central Oxford. As part of your apprenticeship, you will be required to complete a training programme that will cover all aspects of the role and will be delivered through in-house training, as well as day-release or other distance learning methods delivered by Abingdon & Witney College. During your apprenticeship, you will need to attend Abingdon and Witney College 1 day per week for 10 weeks.

As part of this role, you will undertake an Apprenticeship with Abingdon and Witney College where you will complete a Level 2 Intermediate Accounts or Finance Assistant Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship will be delivered through in-house training, as well as day-release or other distance learning methods as supported by Abingdon and Witney College. On successful completion the apprentice will progress to the Level 3 Advanced Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship.
For this apprenticeship, you will work within University of Oxford’s Central Finance Division in Central Oxford. As part of your apprenticeship, you will be required to attend Abingdon and Witney College. During your apprenticeship, you will need to attend one of these college locations for 1 day each week.

As part of this role, you will undertake an Apprenticeship with Basingstoke ITEC, where you will complete an IT Solutions Technician Level 3 (Hardware option) Apprenticeship.
For this apprenticeship, you will work at the Department of Materials in Oxford and attend a mixture of online and face to face apprenticeship training as required.
