Apprentice Kitchen Sales Designer
Your role is to work with customers to create their perfect design for their chosen interior, provide a quote and complete the sale. By visiting their homes you will listen to their ideas, evaluate their needs and offer your expert advice, then plan,design and sell inspirational kitchens that matches their requirements and exceeds expectations.
This is a fast-paced role where attention to detail, excellent organisation, and the ability to build and maintain customer relationships are key skills.
Apprentice Business Developer
Your role is to provide potential and existing customers with the highest level of customer service and support the wider sales team in generating and chasing leads, by keeping in touch with depot lead banks regularly via the telephone and using our customer engagement messaging tool. Using creative marketing materials, you will promote Howdens products, depot events and sales periods to new and existing customers.
You’ll focus on effective customer account management, aiming to increase the company’s customer base and develop long term collaborative relationships within the building trade.
Apprentice Warehouse Person
At Howdens we operate an ‘in stock’ business through all our depots. Our Warehouse Person is responsible for effective stock maintenance, compliance with strict health and safety regulations and high standards of customer service. Work activities include taking deliveries, checking for damaged/missing items, storing goods, moving stock by various methods, picking/packing orders, loading goods for dispatch, maintaining stock records and documentation, and cleaning.
They are required to safely use a range of equipment, machinery and vehicles, as relevant to their role and setting. This could include mechanical racking systems, materials handling equipment (MHE) or fork lift trucks.
Apprentice Trade Counter Sales Person
During this apprenticeship you will deal with customer sales at the trade counter and over the telephone, and will understand incoming deliveries, stock control and despatch. You will be familiar with processing customer orders and taking delivery of goods and the basic administration related to these functions.
A key element of your role will be to gain technical knowledge of the products and services offered together with the bespoke systems and equipment used in the depot. You will communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers to build relationships and provide a high-quality service that encourages repeat business.
