Our Business Administration Apprentices are responsible for supporting our customers in their student finance journey by assisting customers, resolving their requests and case managing their applications whilst learning new skills as your career progresses within SLC.
This will include initially assessing and processing student finance applications to establish our customers’ eligibility and entitlement to financial support and training you will be providing excellent customer service by answering customer queries through our various channels including inbound and outbound calls, email, webchat and letter.
During your Business Administration Apprenticeship, you will also be working towards achieving a SCQF L6 Business Administration Qualification.

- A passion and interest for providing excellent customer service with the ability to understand customers’ needs and a desire to deliver high standards.
- The ability to use your own initiative whilst working within defined guidelines and adapt to changing working environments, in a positive manner.
- The ability to communicate clearly and effectively through a variety of channels including telephone, email, and letter.
- A commitment to completing the apprenticeship programme.
Details
This role with be office based 4 days per week (with the option to work from home on occasion should the need arise) and 1 day Apprenticeship Learning at Darlington College. All equipment will be provided to enable you to carry out this role.
