Roibis is taking part in the UK Government’s Traineeships initiative to help young people who are at risk of long term unemployment, the opportunity to take part in a work placement. Trainees will develop new skills and gain experience to enable them to move into sustained employment, or an apprenticeship at the end of the programme.

Duties and Responsibilities
Your main role is to assist with all aspects of the events functions. This role will involve a great deal of liaison with delegates, suppliers and clients, which will provide an excellent opportunity for the post holder to polish their communication skills, organisational skills and gain a great deal of confidence in dealing with various different stakeholders.
As an Events Coordinator, your role will be demanding and diverse. It involves and is not limited to:
1. Learn to identify best venues for A class events in the heart of the city of London.
2. Negotiate deals with potential suppliers.
3. Look after all conference speaker requirements and assist with the management and programme content.
4. Learn about AV requirements and other on-site event technology.
5. Manage event budgets.
6. Understand virtual meeting technology.
7. Learn outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal.
8. Polish organisational and planning skills.
9. General support within the Events Department
10. Effective time management to ensure that all aspects of job are carried out to best of ability and on time.
11. Ability to juggle and prioritise.
12. Be part of a culture of high performance that delivers on a weekly basis.
13. Work as an integral member of a team, motivating one another and communicating effectively.
14. Be determined to succeed with a positive attitude.
15. Maintains complete discretion and confidentiality.
This opportunity includes 4 weeks of pre-employment training allowing you to learn the skills you will need to identify your future talent and unlock your potential within the workplace. Following on from this you will then complete 3 weeks of work experience to showcase your talents and what you have learnt from the course, get more familiar with the people in the company and the role, after which you will be work-ready. During the 4 weeks of pre-employment training, you will be working towards a qualification in Customer Service along with improving your employability prospects, maths, English & digital skills, all of which are vital within any workplace and will help you feel well prepared for work.
