The primary objectives of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Youth Employment is to:
- promote youth employment in all its forms and the role of young people within the economy
- to ensure young people’s voices are heard
- to highlight the need for quality opportunities; and to share best practice
In 2017/18 the All Party Parliamentary Group for Youth Employment will look closely at three topics that impact on youth employment. For each topic the APPG will hold a series of meetings where in the first meeting an external expert will be asked to give evidence on that topic, at the 2nd meeting MP’s and organisations from constituencies around the UK will be invited to give evidence and at the 3rd meeting the relevant Minister will be invited to attend and present.
During each series an inquiry will be launched inviting organisations to respond to questions relating to that topic. The responses will be gathered and presented to the relevant Minister/and or colleagues from the department and published at the end of each series.
