Read on to find out how we can support your organisation’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.
What is ESG and why is it important?
In 2013, the UK Government brought in new regulations to the Companies Act 2006, calling on medium and large employers (specifically PLCs and large companies with a set employee number or turnover) to add additional information to their annual strategic report.
This additional information includes reporting on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) matters. This measures a business’s impact on society and the environment, and how transparent and accountable it is about that impact.
There is an expectation that in 2024 the government will establish a regulatory regime around ESG reporting.
ESG is important for businesses that want their impact to be a good one, but ESG itself also has a big impact on the investment, reputation, employee engagement, future opportunities and long-term success of a business.
What can your organisation do about ESG?
