An apprenticeship role with Murray Harcourt is a great opportunity to get an insight into the world of Accountancy, working towards a recognised qualification (AAT L3 and L4) and gaining valuable on-the-job experience with a highly respected accountancy firm in Leeds.

For the first year of the apprenticeship, you would be primarily based at our office in central Leeds, being part of the accountancy, audit or personal tax teams and servicing some of Yorkshire’s leading SME companies and individuals in business. You will learn about the preparation of financial accounts, interpretation of financial data and accounting and tax legislation. This is an extremely varied role and you need to be prepared to roll your sleeves up and have a willingness to learn.

As you progress you will be asked to undertake a greater client facing role, engaging with our clients, often at their premises, providing high quality services. You would be supported through your AAT qualification L3 and L4, with the potential to move on to a full ACA Chartered Accountant qualification in the future, depending on performance. Candidates will need a full driving license and will need access to a car to be able to travel to client sites, when needed.
