An open invitation to our next Youth Friendly Prime Minister: Please read and sign the Charter

As the leadership race continues and we await the vote on the next Prime Minister we met with young people to discuss their vision of a Youth Friendly Prime Minister.

In our discussion young people talked through the key qualities they would expect from a new Prime Minister; empathy, respect, honesty, accountability and genuineness.

Open invitation to our potential Prime Ministers:

Please sign this youth-led charter to demonstrate your commitment to youth friendly principles as a Youth Friendly Prime Minister.

Why do we need a Youth Friendly Prime Minister?

Young people want a Prime Minister who will actively listen and empathise with their experiences, to respect their views and show an understanding of the challenges they face. They seek a Prime Minister who shows an honest, genuine interest and care in their future.

About the Charter

We sat down with young people and listened as they told us the priorities they want to see and the actions they would want the next Prime Minister take to improve the lives and opportunities for young people across the country.

Together we have created the Youth Friendly Prime Minister Charter, based on Youth Friendly principles of Youth Voice, Creating Opportunities, Fair Employment, Recognising talent and Developing People.

To help young visions become a reality, we are sending an open invitation to the leadership candidates from the Conservative party who are contending to be the next Prime Minister.
