Edge Consulting Engineers are looking to recruit 2 Apprentices to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career within a civil engineering environment.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Your role will include undertaking CAD/Revit draughting tasks of varied scope and complexity in conjunction with a range of tasks assisting in the day to day office operations
  • Duties will predominantly be focused on civil & structural engineering design drafting and you will be responsible for producing drawings of a high standard for a variety of drainage and highways infrastructure schemes
  • You will be required to produce detailed drawings for a range of construction techniques to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity
  • This may also involve working with other offices within the group
  • The positions involve providing CAD support for the structural & civils department together with a responsibility to maintain CAD standards and document management
  • You will be encouraged to learn about all aspects of structural and civil schemes undertaken to further your progression within the group

Desired skills

  • Strong IT skills
  • High level of maths skills

Personal qualities

The candidate should be a proactive person with good communication skills and work well as part of a team

Desired qualifications

The candidate should have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s at grades 9-4 (A*-C) or equivalent including a 5/C in Maths.

About This Apprenticeship

Weekly wage: £172.00

Working week: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm

Total hours per week: 40.00

Expected duration: 3 years

Apprenticeship level: Advanced, Level 3 (A level)

Positions: 2 available
