Apprentice Eye reports on Justine Greening’s speech to the Parliamentary sub committee on education.

Greening said “This represents a sea change on skills in this country and I’m conscious of the need to introduce it with employers’ support and realising the benefits for young people.” She remarked on previous policies’s tendencies to focus ‘too much on academic routes’ citing Lord Sainsbury’s recommendations as good alternatives for young people not going to university.

She also mentioned the new digital apprenticeship system which is being developed, and said they are working with levy payers to ensure they get it right.
