Employing people from across our communities and beyond, Severn Trent is an exciting and inclusive place to work – a place where you can be curious, can be ‘Wonderfully You’ and where you can truly make an impact to our environment, now and for future generations.     LET’S TELL YOU MORE    Our Commercial, Performance and Regulatory Graduate Programme Offers the opportunity to spend time in the Commercial, Charges and Assurance teams within Developer Services Central function understanding governance structures and commercial performance frameworks.      A day in the life of a Developer Services Graduate at Severn Trent involves a complex environmental information and providing strategic insight to drive governance structures, audit and training programmes.   Develop data interrogation skills and the ability to assess risk to provide actionable insights at an operational and strategic level to drive performance and efficiency and act as project manager on such initiatives.       In addition to daily tasks there are plenty of opportunities to expand your network through social events and engagement activities across the department, this is vital for successful collaboration with cross-functional teams within technology.  You’ll spend time supporting with major activities like budget planning and project management.     WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?    You will expand your knowledge of Data Interrogation and developing commercial insight. You’ll also gain a strong business and commercial acumen, developing your ability to understand charges and how to Understand and Implement Governance Structures.     You will learn the following either directly from placements, through supplementary training or project work:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Developer Services and the regulatory requirements that influence business decisions.  Demonstrate an ability to apply this understanding and knowledge to influence business decisions  
  • Collate and interrogate a variety of data including compliance, overall performance and financial data to provide timely insights on the monthly and yearly performance and highlight any patterns and trends and use tailored data visualisations to communicate with key stakeholders 
  • Build partnership with stakeholders to offer and deliver recommendations and acting as a project manager to deliver solutions   
  • Ability to build strong relationships across a variety of stakeholders and use data to influence decision making and deliver solutions.  
  • Ability to interpret complex environmental information and provide strategic insight.  Use this understanding to develop and implement governance structures which support the changing environment

    TYPICAL OFF-SCHEME ROLE    This scheme will develop you into a capable Data Analyst, Commercial Analyst or Standards and Assurance Specialist.    Our New Talent Team will guide you and support you every step of the way. Furthermore, your line manager, mentor and buddy will be there to help you in making sure you reach your full potential here at Severn Trent.      Location:          Severn Trent Centre, Coventry, CV1 2LZ  Programme Duration:          27 months  Salary:                                                  £29,056  Entry Criteria: The degrees that lend themselves to this programme will include (These are preferred but not essential):
