Course/Provision content: (This will be used has promotional information by the Work Coaches)* Welcome to TLG Welcome, Introduction to course, Housekeeping & Health & Safety rules. Enrolment paperwork and initial assessment. Ice Breaker activities. Write personal statement for application. Introduction to TLG My Way Online Training Register with Learn My Way online training – start and complete basic IT training. Food Hygiene Level 2 The learners will be taught and will complete an online Food & Hygiene level1 course through to certification. Effective Communication Effective Communication. Understand why effective communication is important. Understand the importance of positive and appropriate behaviour. Personal Hygiene Help and inform learners to understand the importance of good personal hygiene & personal presentation. Understand how personal hygiene is important within the working environment, especially in hospitality. Safeguarding Safeguarding in the workplace. Manual Handling. Learn how to safely move product in a working environment. Confidence boosting Developing Personal Confidence. Various modules. Health & Safety, Understanding basic Health & Safety issues in the workplace, Control of Substances hazardous to health. COSHH Control of substances harmful to humans. Prepare for Interview Reflecting on self-development during the course and getting mentally prepared for interview. Engage in mock interview with post interview analysis. Interview TLG staff will interview each candidate on the last day of the course. There will be a team of interviewers who will carry out an in depth interview and complete all necessary NHS paperwork. Work Experience The students will visit the actual workplace for introduction from the employer.
