BMet are working with University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB) in offering a brand
new Health Care Assistant SWAP for those looking to pursue a career in the NHS.
The demand for these roles are at an all-time high, so now is the perfect time to
enter the industry! The SWAP, which will take place at Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s
Learning Hub will offer candidates the chance to learn and gain valuable work
experience on-site, as well as a guaranteed job interview for a HCA role.
A range of topics such as Infection Control (accredited), hand washing, bed making,
patient centre care (washing a patient)
Communication in relation to patient care, such as face to face contact, clear
speech, sitting at the patients level
Equality and Diversity, Fluid and Nutrition, Health and Safety, Palliative Care
Guest speakers who are highly experienced in their role that will discuss
expectations within a normal day in a clinical area
37.5 (max) hour working week
Candidates are expected to be flexible in terms of shift patterns
Salary – band 2 (£20,270)
Eligibility & Requirements
Be unemployed and in receipt of a benefit such as JSA or UC
Be 19+ as of 31st August 2022 and have lived in the UK for the past three years
