Working in the final steps of a large digitisation project, I check copyright clearance and data protection documentation of digitised recordings. We get to be the ones to ultimately open the recordings to our onsite and online audiences, allowing researchers and visitors to enjoy collections that were previously unavailable. There’s a lot of problem-solving involved in my role. We continuously brainstorm better, more efficient ways to get collections online. We identify our weakest processes, propose solutions and implement changes to the workflow, to speed up our operations and add to our online collection.
