World Values Day – 19th October 2017

#WorldValuesDay

Today is world values day and this year the campaign is focusing on the values of groups and organisation and how they can make a difference. We are exploring what values are, what they mean to people and we have some handy guides for talking about values too!

What are values?

Values are traits we hold dear to us, they make up who we are are and guide us in our actions and choices. Values can be things such as: creativity, responsibility, justice, leadership, trust, excellence and fairness.

What do they mean to people?

People hold their values in high regard, they can be a motivator and compass on deciding what to do. People hold their own values but very often organisations and employers will have a group set of values which underpin the work they do.
