Mental Health Resources

Every year, UK Mental Health Awareness Week takes place in May and is hosted by The Mental Health Foundation. Here at St John Ambulance, we have made it one of our missions to break down stigma related to mental health in the workplace.

Mental Health Awareness Week is an annual event when there is an opportunity for the whole of the UK to focus on achieving positive mental health. The event has grown to become one of the biggest awareness weeks across the UK and globally. The theme for this year is Loneliness.

Loneliness is affecting more and more of us in the UK and has had a huge impact on our physical and mental health during the pandemic. Our connection to other people and our community is fundamental in protecting our mental health and we need to find better ways of tackling the epidemic of loneliness. We can all play a part in this.

St John Ambulance have released new mental health mini e-learning modules and they are offering lots of free resources (including their new ‘Managers Guide: Managing wellbeing for remote workers) for you to use in your workplace, with the aim of improving people’s mental health.
