Youth Employment Week is fast approaching. We’ll be celebrating all things youth employment from 3rd – 7th July 2023. As an employer here are 4 things you can do to get involved.
Host an event
Some young people have never experienced the world of work so as an employer you could do a session about what the world of work is like within your sector/industry. You could talk about:
- Your sector/ industry
- Information about the jobs and pathways available in your sector
- Talk about being a Youth Friendly Employer
- Choose a principle from the Good Youth Employment Charter and talk about how you follow that principle.
Membership benefits: Share your vacancies with Youth Employment UK
Do you have current youth friendly vacancies in your organisation? With Youth Employment UK Membership you can advertise your early careers opportunities on our page during Youth Employment Week.
Share case Studies
Creating a case study can help young people to understand your organisation and why you are a good organisation to work for. You can use Youth Employment UK’s case study template to help get you started. Complete it and send it to Youth Employment UK for our website to be published and promoted on our website.
